Game Prop Week 2 Progress

This week I decided to change my ideas around a bit. After rethinking some of my prop ideas and references I decided to add more basic things suck as crates, traffic cones, garbage cans and other smaller things. I did a lot of work on my controller prop which I think I want to make a collectible in the game. I rethought the practicality of making a robot a prop for the game because in reality, it would be a character. So instead, I thought that building out robot parts instead to scatter throughout the level for a robot to upgrade himself with would be better. here are some of the renders of what I've been doing so far:

Game Prop Week 1 References

For this week, I wanted to make some props for a cartoonish robot game. My simple prop design would be a controller, intermediate would be a laser gun and my difficult prop would be the robot itself.

For the controller, I want to combine retro looking joystick controller with that of a TV remote. I don't want the controller to have an abundance of buttons like a TV remote but I want it to take on that shape.

For the Laser gun, I want it to have a toy-gun feel to it, similar to the one Stewie is often seen with in family guy.

Similar to the gun, I want to robot to also look like a toy. In the actual game the robots will be customizable, so using the references I've gathered and my own imagination, I want to make my own unique robot.

Arch Viz Week 4 Final Product

This is my final product (The third image). After combining my beauty shot with my ambient occlusion. I did some minor edits within pixlr with the contrast, brightness and levels. I added in some noise to the image as well. Overall I'm very happy with how the final product came out.
